A rich, semi-oxidized tea that bridges the best of green and black. With warm notes of roasted chestnut, apricot, and a whisper of sandalwood, this smooth brew is both indulgent and balanced.

From Our Tea Sommelier
The Four Steps to Tasting Like a Sommelier
Behind the Blend
Every Forgrave blend is designed to be read the same way: aroma, color, body, and finish. It is the sequence Catherine uses to taste each blend she composes, a multisensory way of experiencing the tea that moves from first breath to last trace. Flavor lives inside body and finish, arriving on the palate at first sip and lingering long after.

Step One
Aroma
Breathe it in before the first sip. Aroma sets the expectation for what the palate is about to meet and often carries more of the tea than the tongue alone will register.
An immediate, almost peanut-like nuttiness up top, giving way to the maltiness of the oxidized leaf beneath.

Step Two
Color
Tilt the cup toward the light and study the liquor, the color of the brewed tea. Each tea has a distinct and expected hue, and its clarity is the first signal of a leaf steeped properly.
The signature pale orange-brown of oolong, exactly what should appear in the cup at home.

Step Three
Body
Take a slow sip and let it rest across the whole palate. This is where flavor first arrives, alongside the weight and texture of the tea on the tongue.
A robust, expansive mouthfeel, with roasted nuttiness striking the front while malty depth widens the palate behind it.

Step Four
Finish
Breathe out gently after you swallow and notice what lingers. Much of flavor is carried on the exhale as aroma returns through the nose, so the finish is where a tea reveals its final notes.
That malty depth settles and sits at the back of the mouth.
